Welcome to St. Jude College

With the commitment of enhancing the well-being of individuals and the community it serves, St. Jude College organized a healing mass celebrated by Fr. Fernando Suarez last June 18.

The Mass, organized exclusively for the St. Jude College and Hospital community, was scheduled at 2 PM, but the Dr. Ramon D. Atienza, Jr. Auditorium was already half-filled at noon time with employees, their relatives and friends. Although the place was big enough to accommodate the expected crowd, more people kept coming. As such, the Audio-Visual Room was also utilized-taking advantage of the LCD technology so that people in the AVR can also “participate” in the mass.

In his homily, Fr. Suarez said that everyone present attended the mass because God wanted them to. He pointed out that he was only an instrument of God and that his capacity to heal comes from Jesus who makes himself present in the Holy Mass.

It was amazing to see that instead of praying over by rows or groups, Fr. Suarez did it individually. Moreover, it was surprising to witness people falling on their backs whenever he would touch their head, chest, face or arms or other ailing body parts.

After extending God’s healing grace and blessings to the people in the Auditorium, Fr. Suarez headed to the St. Jude Chapel beside the hospital to minister to those who are not able to come to the Auditorium but faithfully waited in the Chapel.
